We are looking for a Slot Attendant to join our busy gaming center.

This important role is based out of Chances Gaming Center in Fort St John, British Columbia.  As a Slot Attendant, you will become a part of a team that will play a key role in the guest service experience by creating a fun atmosphere while providing services to guests on the electronic gaming floor. Experience is an asset but it is not required, as we do training onsite.

Main Duties:

  • Able to respond to guest enquiries regarding the slot machines
  • Learn the operations of a Slot manchine and how to troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions
  • Reporting any maintenance required to the Shift Manager and BCLC Slot Technician
  • Process and payout jackposts to a customer, within a minimum amount of time
  • Refilling the voucher machine whenever the system runs out
  • Report any suspicious activity or security threat to the Shift Manager
  • Identify regular Slot guests and assist in tracking their play
  • Maintain a good guest experience by being welcoming and friendly while engaging in good conversation
  • Promote the Encore Rewards Card
  • Able to direct guests to the Responsible Gambling Keosk
  • Making sure all slot machines are being kept clean and void from garbage, food or empty glasses
  • Perform other duties as assigned basedon operational needs

Skills/Requirements:

  • Must be 19+
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • Ability to successfully complete and pass all BCLC required courses; Anti Money Laundering (AML), Privacy Awareness and Appropriate Response Trainig Level 1 (ART)
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right Certificate (SIR)
  • Ability to maintain and follow all BCLC and Pomeroy Lodging Polices and Procedures
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Serve as a dynamic team player and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and evenings
  • Perform any other duties as assigned based on perorational needs

Working Conditions

The day-to-day Gaming Center operations and busy work environment of the gaming floor can be challenging, fun and entertaining atmosphere. The Slot Attendant may be exposed to long shifts on their feet at times, which can include late hours. Available for days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with loud noises, wearing of an earpiece and use of radio are necessary to remain in constant communication with all departments involved.
