2nd Shift Laundry Supervisor

THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN GIRDWOOD, ALASKA. 

This position is responsible for supervising 2^nd shift operations of the laundry facility and laundry staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversees all laundry operations, trains and supervises laundry employees.
• Helps in the laundry process.
• Maintains machines and laundry area.
• Maintains cleanliness in the laundry room.
• Maintain laundry production records.
• Report and store lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various types of laundry equipment , such as washers, dryers, and folders.
• Able to operate press and steam tunnel.
• Experience in using and changing chemical cleaning agents effectively and safely.
• Knowledge of PPE, MSDS and Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Wear proper protective gear.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

• Previous laundry experience preferred.
• Basic ability to comprehend English or Spanish, to be able to communicate and read labels for product safety and emergency instructions.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents, stain removal, and operation of various types of laundry equipment, such as washers, dryers, and folders. Experience using chemical cleaning agents effectively and safely.
