We are hiring for the leadership role of Nordic Spa General Manager.  This full-time leadership opportunity is based out of Alberta's only premier Nordic Spa in Kananaskis and offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.

As the Spa General Manager, you will drive the operations forward within an organization that allows extensive latitude to make decisions and take action. You will achieve excellence by leading and teaching your people to make business and service decisions that are focused on upholding the highest standards in guest service and employee retention while delivering against key financial goals and performance metrics for the Spa and maximizing profit margins for all stakeholders.   • Delivers Quality by engaging team members to deliver picture-perfect results in all spa public areas and treatment areas; monitoring and addressing the cleanliness and readiness of all guest spaces.
  • Leads the preventative maintenance, health and safety and emergency programs of the Spa ensuring organizational standards and policies are being adhered to at all times.
  • Directs and leads the day-to-day front-of-house operations; accountable for tracking spa statistics and balancing daily sales.
  • Acknowledge all guests, anticipate their needs and respond promptly. Address guest concerns, requests, or issues either individually including follow-up from guest satisfaction survey comments. Handling all guest comments and feedback both in person and in writing, with an ability to identify and resolve any concerns.
  • Ensure procedures for accurate inventory control and monitoring are in place and followed, including ordering, receiving and merchandising.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership or management role in a luxury environment
  • Spa, Hospitality, Guest Service and/or Retail Sales experience preferred
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays & weekends.                       
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Have a passion for Health and Wellness

 Working Conditions:

Due to the 365 day a year operation of the Spa, the General Manager may be exposed to long shifts that at times include late hours, weekends, and holidays. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders. The General Manager will spend a lot of time on their feet multitasking competing priorities, effectively dealing with confrontation from employees and guests and leading a culture of service excellence. Working outdoors in a variety of Mountain weather conditions, with average temperature ranges of -30 C / -22 F to +30 C / +86 F.
