We are looking for a Casino General Manager to join our organization

This role is based out of Chances Fort St. John B.C. 

As the General Manager you will drive operations forward within an organization that allows extensive latitude to make decisions and take action. You will achieve excellence by leading and teaching your people to make business and service decisions that are focused on upholding the highest standards in guest service and employee retention while delivering against key financial goals and performance metrics for the site and maximizing profit margins.   • Engages team members to deliver picture perfect results on the gaming floor and public areas, owning the site’s guest service and employee experience by monitoring and addressing the cleanliness and readiness of all public areas and departments as outlined in the Quality Assessment templates.
  • Leads the preventative maintenance, health and safety and emergency programs of the site ensuring organizational standards and policies are being adhered to at all times.
  • Owns of all marketing, promotional and sales activities for the site, working in conjunction with the Hotel General Manager and Corporate Director of Marketing.
  • Liaises with British Columbia Lottery Corporation, and the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.
  • Adheres to all policies, procedures, and guidelines of Pomeroy Lodging, British Columbia Lottery Corporation, and the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.
  • Reviews and investigates incidents that have occurred at the casino. Analyze Tables/Slots performance and complete recommendations for relocation/movement on the casino floor.
  • Ensures all required daily/weekly/monthly tasks around financial balancing, banking and reporting are completed according to organizational standards.

Education & Experience:

  • 5 years of experience as a direct senior manager in Table Games, Cage Operations, and/or Slot Operations.
  • Extensive understanding of all casino operations
  • Intermediate/advanced skill set in using all technologies associated with gaming operations
  • Strong working knowledge of gaming, liquor, health and employment related regulations for BC and Alberta
  • Ability to hold/be approved for a provincial Gaming License
  • Solid skills in slot and table games analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills

Working Conditions:

The General Manager may be exposed to long shifts that at times include late hours, weekends, and holidays. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders. The General Manager will spend a lot of time on their feet multitasking competing priorities, effectively dealing with confrontation from employees and guests and leading a culture of service excellence.
