The Role:

As the Guest Services Supervisor, you will assist in leading the bell desk, driving a dynamic and engaging team. We're seeking a leader excited about change and development. The successful candidate will support an Authentically Canadian arrival experience that exceeds Autograph Standards and foster a culture of empowerment, enabling employees to meet guest needs. You will uphold an atmosphere of learning and fulfillment, supporting our employee engagement goals. Additionally, you will assist the Guest Services Manager with onboarding, training, and performance management for all Bell employees, leading from the front to enhance the guest experience.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for guest arrival and departure experience
  • Providing courteous, professional and attentive guest service at all times
  • Following up with guest requests or concerns efficiently
  • Establishing a personal rapport with the guest to learn about their needs and expectations, find opportunities to connect and “wow”
  • Valet parking and retrieval of guest vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assisting with guest room deliveries
  • Driving guest shuttles to local attractions
  • In-depth knowledge of the Kananaskis Valley and surrounding area, to offer recommendations, make bookings and build an unrivalled Kananaskis guest experience
  • Responsible for general upkeep of public areas including the hotel lobbies and front entrance
  • Strong and effective communication/teamwork with all other departments (Housekeeping, Engineering, Conference Services, Accounting, etc)
  • Knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures

Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, experience driving larger vehicles (trucks, vans, etc.) is considered an asset
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership position, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Must provide a clean drivers abstract
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic individual who thrives under pressure and can multi-task
  • Capable of lifting and carrying guest luggage
  • Previous customer service experience and demonstrated commitment to always exceeding guests' expectations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional in presentation and demeanor
  • Computer literate with experience in Windows, Internet, MS Word & Excel, and Opera
  • Health and Safety conscious, dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Must be able to work variable shifts
  • Must be in possession of Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator’s License (must be able to obtain a Class 4 license within 3 months of employment)
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is an asset
  • Hospitality/Tourism Diploma considered an asset

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift in a fast-paced, high-visibility luxury environment.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling guest luggage, parcels, and equipment; ability to safely handle items of varying size and weight (25 to 50 lbs.).
  • Maneuvering loaded luggage carts (50 lbs.) through lobby spaces, elevators, corridors, and guest floors with precision and care.
  • Repetitive bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching when loading/unloading luggage and organizing bell storage areas.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions while greeting guests, loading vehicles, and providing directional assistance (including heat, cold, rain, or snow).
  • Always adhering to safe lifting techniques and occupational health and safety guidelines.
