The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent guest service skills and a proven track record to manage a retail sales team.  As a Retail Supervisor you will play a pivotal role managing the retail staff, ensuring excellent guest service, and meeting sales targets.  You will play a key part in creating a positive shopping experience for customers and contributing to the store’s success.

Job Duties:

In support of the Outlets Manager, the primary responsibilities of the Retail Sales Supervisor are:

  • Provide hands-on operational leadership for the Retail Outlet and Market Café, ensuring seamless daily operations, elevated guest interactions, and consistent service standards.
  • Lead, coach, and direct Retail Associate throughout each shift, maintaining high levels of guest service expectations, strong product knowledge, and proactive guest engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Outlets Manager to execute seasonal merchandising strategies, promotional initiatives, and strategic floor plan adjustments to optimize traffic flow and revenue performance.
  • Drive retail revenue and capture rate through upselling techniques, curated product storytelling, and guest-centric sales strategies aligned with overall outlet financial objectives.
  • Process approved purchase orders for retail merchandise; oversee receiving, verification, and proper storage of deliveries to ensure accurate inventory intake, stock rotation, and quality control.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including cycle counts and full physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accountable manner.
  • Prepare and manage weekly team schedules in alignment with forecasted business levels, productivity benchmarks, and approved labor targets.
  • Onboarding, and structured training of new team members utilizing established brand training manuals, operational checklists, and service standards guidelines.
  • Monitor team performance on guest service delivery, POS proficiency, menu and product knowledge, and adherence to established operational procedures.
  • Ensure the retail environment remains impeccably clean, organized, and visually appealing, maintaining brand merchandising standards and presentation at all times.
  • Respond to guest feedback and service recovery situations promptly and professionally, applying solution-oriented practices.
  • Supervise opening and closing procedures, including cash handling protocols, POS reconciliation, and float balancing.
  • Actively participate in retail leadership meetings and ongoing training initiatives to support continuous improvement, product knowledge enhancement, and operational excellence.

Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of retail or guest service experience, previous leadership experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in the use of inventory management systems, point-of-sale (POS) platforms, and workforce scheduling software to support efficient retail operations and accurate reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with both team members and guests.
  • Highly motivated and guest-centric professional who consistently demonstrates initiative, energy, and a proactive approach to service excellence.
  • Track record of consistently achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints, staff-related issues, inventory discrepancies, and other challenges that may arise.
  • Must be Health & Safety conscious and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the shift (up to 8 hours), maintaining an active presence on the sales floor.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise weighing up to 30 lbs in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stretching, and light crouching to restock displays, retrieve inventory, and organize merchandise.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with business demands and peak operational periods.
