Job Description 

As Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing room revenue and profitability across all market segments. You will play a key strategic role in driving commercial performance by partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and other departments to develop and execute revenue strategies. Your analytical expertise, market insight, and leadership will be essential in optimizing inventory, forecasting demand, and identifying growth opportunities. You will also act as a key contributor in ensuring system integrity and revenue-related processes are executed to the highest standards in alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Collaboration

  • Work in close partnership with the Sales Strategy Team to develop and implement dynamic pricing and inventory strategies across clusters.
  • Identify future revenue opportunities and communicate strategies effectively to all relevant departments.
  • Participate actively in the evaluation of sales strategies and make data-driven recommendations to enhance revenue performance.

Revenue Analysis & Forecasting

  • Conduct detailed analysis of room revenue, profit trends, and demand forecasts.
  • Lead the preparation of accurate revenue forecasts, budgets, and projections while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Generate historical and future-focused analysis to guide strategic decision-making.

Inventory & Distribution Management

  • Manage room inventory across all segments, ensuring optimal allocation and rate parity across channels.
  • Oversee contracted group and wholesale reservations, collaborating with the Sales team to monitor blocks, rates, and release dates.
  • Prepare block pickup and release reports; ensure weekly alignment with the Event Sales team for group and tour bookings. 

Systems & Data Integrity

  • Ensure the proper configuration and use of property systems (PMS, RMS, and CRS) to meet hotel operational needs.
  • Champion the use of best practices in system usage and revenue optimization processes across the property.
  • Support internal and external data requests, resolving system- or data-related issues promptly.

Performance Reporting

  • Lead weekly revenue meetings to review current business performance, forecast updates, and future strategies.
  • Contribute to month-end reporting including commentary on top-line revenue results and trends.
  • Analyze customer behavior, booking patterns, and market trends to support effective pricing and promotional strategies.

Team Support & Training

  • Train and support staff on systems, SOPs, revenue best practices, and effective selling techniques.
  • Supervise reservations-related procedures, ensuring alignment with standards in areas such as room merchandising, guest services, and package offerings.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Director of Revenue Management to uphold and promote Pomeroy Lodging’s culture of revenue excellence.
  • Resolve guest issues related to reservations and availability with professionalism and urgency.
  • Attend weekly resume meetings and represent the Revenue Management function in cross-functional forums.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hotel revenue management or a similar commercial role.
  • Proficient in Property Management Systems (PMS) and Internet distribution systems; experience with tools like Opera, SynXis, and TravelClick preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong competency in data analysis; familiarity with BI tools is an asset.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

Working Conditions
