Located on the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge grounds, our Nordic Spa experience is crafted to be as individual as our guests. Our Nordic Spa experiences are created to be as individual as each of our guests. Rather than an exercise in structure and conformity, our guests should feel that our spas are thoughtfully restful and physically comfortable. Your role as a Spa Attendant is critical to delivering on this promise. As a Spa Attendant, you are expected to exceed guest expectations by creating “picture perfect” guest experiences. You will achieve excellence by cleaning and maintaining the facility throughout your shift in addition to operating the pools, saunas, steams rooms, pool deck and outdoor areas for safe guest use.

Qualifications:

  • Begins shift by making sure locker rooms are spotlessly clean and properly stocked and remain that way through their shift                               
  • Focused on turning lockers (dirty to clean status in system) as quickly as possible so that the locker can be sold again to maximize revenues               
  • Conducts Pool Deck, relaxation spaces and fire pit walk-through scheduled times
  • Checks cleanliness and temperature of pools, steam rooms and saunas               
  • Refills and restocks guest amenities removes and restocks linens as required 
  • Completes deep cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Assigned deliverables are executed in a manner that requires little or no follow up; both in terms of timeliness and quality.
  • Understands spaces that are clean, organized and in good repair supports the value that experiences should be as easy as water through fingers.               
  • Completing work processes and checklists seamlessly support the Spa value that we respect our guest’s inherent desire to be at peace.                              
  • Personal communication, interactions, and behaviours support the Spa value that everyone is welcome and everyone is equal

Education & Experience:

  • Previous Spa or Hospitality experience preferred
  • First Aid Certificates (Including CPR) preferred                                                       
  • Excellent guest service, communication and organizational skills               
  • Able to lift, move, and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
  • Passion for people & wellness                                                    

Working Conditions:

This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders.  This role will spend a considerable amount of time working outdoors in the fresh mountain air and weather.
