Key Focuses

  • Collaboration: Works in partnership with the Restaurant Manager to execute the smooth and flawless operation of the Bar and Restaurant.
  • Mixology Mastery: Showcases expertise by creating and innovating premium cocktails, setting the standard for excellence in beverage service.
  • Leadership: Leads and inspires a team of bartenders, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure a cohesive and high-performing beverage department.
  • Guest Experience: Ensures an extraordinary guest experience by delivering personalized and attentive service, anticipating needs, and exceeding expectations.
  • Menu Development: Collaborates with the culinary team to curate and update an enticing beverage menu that complements the hotel's upscale dining experience.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversees the daily operations of the bar, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Training and Development: Conducts regular training sessions for bartending staff to enhance their skills, product knowledge, and customer service abilities.
  • POS System: Ensure all bartender checks are closed and guest billing is accurate.

Experience/Passions/Education

  • Minimum of two years of bartending experience in an upscale establishment.
  • Have a valid ProServe certification.
  • Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment without sacrificing quality.

Working Conditions

This position may work dayshift, afternoon, or evening shift any day of the week or weekend with long days to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines.  This position is set in a fast-paced and, at times, high-pressure environment that requires continuous physical movement, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs., and the ability to manage multiple sequences and demands. There may be periods of independent work and changes in temperature from the back to the front of the house.
