$17.00 per Hour Plus Tips (Tips Average $6.00/hr)

Full-Time, Permanent, 40 Hours per Week

Summary

Join the Fort St. John (FSJ) Chances Casino Team.  FSJ is the largest city in the Northeast Region of BC, situated on the Alaska Highway; its population is 21,000.  It offers a great variety of cultural, leisure, and outdoor experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities:

In this role, the Slot Supervisor will be responsible for the overall operations of the Slot department and assist Shift Managers when necessary.  The primary focus is to provide leadership and mentoring support to the Slot Attendants while maintaining the highest gaming integrity standards in the industry.  They will foster great relationships with other departments and business entities.

  • Supervise frontline team members and assign work duties
  • Promote casino initiatives
  • Coach and mentor employees and create an engaging work environment
  • Manage schedules as required
  • Work in compliance with BCLC, GPEB policies and procedures, and company policies

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Required:                                                                                                                

  • Experience handling cash and working with the public
  • Superior customer service and people management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of slot machine functions is an asset
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must enjoy entertaining and communicating with the public

Experience, Training, Certification, & Education:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Outstanding customer service & interpersonal skills
  • The ability to successully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy Enforement Branch
