We are looking for a handy maintenance attendant to join our team! 

Starting at $22.00 per hour, the Maintenance Attendant is responsible for performing general building and property maintenance, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. We are looking for a hands-on, fix-it type individual to keep things in good repair and above brand standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in operation and maintenance of buildings.

DUTIES:

  • Perform regular property inspections of the hotel, including common areas, building exterior, and landscape.
  • Responsible for vandalism clean up and repair, within skill level.
  • Maintain heating and air conditioning systems, boilers, pumps, fan units, control panels, thermostats, cooling towers, etc.
  • Maintain fire alarms and extinguishers.
  • Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters, water and maintain sprinkling systems)..
  • Detect faulty operations and defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the proper manager
  • Prepare, paint and decorate interior and exterior surfaces as required.
  • Drywalls repairs and caulking.

APPLICABLE SKILLS:

  • Strong customer service orientation and skills.
  • Respond and attend to guests & staff reported requests
  • Resolve maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate daily with the Maintenance Manager to review tasks and confirm completion
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Must have or be prepared to take Pool Operator's Course.
  • Keep a clean and safe work environment
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
