Gaming Attendant

$15.75 per Hour Plus Tips (Tips average $6.00/hr)

Full-Time, Permanent, 40 Hours per Week

Summary

Join the Fort St. John (FSJ) Chances Casino Team.  FSJ is the largest city in the Northeast Region of BC, situated on the Alaska Highway; its population is 21,000.  It offers a great variety of cultural, leisure, and outdoor experiences.

In this role, you will participate in duties within all areas of the Cash Cage, Slot Area, Count Room, Bingo and Table Games.  You will act as a front-line customer service representative while creating a professional, positive gaming experience for all our guests.  You will follow all of the roles and duties for each job position and comply with all policies and procedures for the gaming centre.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with guest inquiries relating to slot game themes, bingo games and casino promotions
  • Manage an accurate cash float, cash payouts, and redemptions of lottery and slot tickets
  • Verify, and process slot machine fills, customer jackpots, lottery sales and payouts
  • Responsible for the conduct and management of the Table Games Department
  • Assist in daily collections of money on the gaming floor and prepare deposits in the count room

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Required:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven to be detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, efficient, and diligent in duties and responsibilities
  • Strong ability to follow policies, procedures and practices
  • Commitment to learning what our guest’s needs and wants are
  • Must enjoy entertaining and communicating with the public

Experience, Training, Certification, & Education:

  • Minimum two-years experience as a Table Games Dealer
  • Minimum two-years experience in a customer service role
  • Outstanding customer service & interpersonal skills
