We are looking for a Building Operator 

Rate of pay: Starting at $25/hour

The Role 

The Engineering Department’s employees are the keepers of maintaining the hotel. The primary responsibilities are performing daily building operation tasks like building maintenance and building repairs. To Monitor, operate, hot water and other pressure equipment as per ABSA regulations. Liaise with maintenance staff and subcontractors when they are on site. Monitor operate, and troubleshoot all HVAC equipment using BMS. Conduct regular building equipment checks/inspections using Transcended. Respond to service requests and emergencies in a timely manner. Provide operational support to Maintenance Technicians daily, assist with guest room calls. 

You will be considered for this role if you have all of the following experience: Qualified candidates should possess their 5th Class Power Engineer Certification or building operator certification. Experience in preventative maintenance, energy management, fire safety, and health and safety Knowledge of building HVAC, plumbing and electrical. Ability to problem solve basic problems that may arise. Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Proficient in Office 365, word and excel. Recognized team player and a self-starter with strong organizational skills. Computer knowledge required.
