Casino Surveillance Supervisor

We are looking for a Surveillance Supervisor to join our busy gaming center.

This position is based out of Chances Gaming Center in Fort St John, British Columbia. If you are a person that is reliable, diligent, self-motivated and has a high level of integrity, you could be a right fit for the Surveillance Supervisor position. As the eyes of the casino, you will ensure the security of customers, staff, and assets by maintaining continuous surveillance of gaming areas and the entire property. You will oversee the surveillance department, surveillance operations staff and report any suspicious activities to BCLC.

 Main Duties:

• Supervise, motivate and lead a team of surveillance operators to work cooperatively and efficient
• Delegate responsibilities to surveillance staff regarding daily activities
• Use audio and video equipment to maintain continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and property
• Maintain a safe and enjoyable casino environment
• Accurately complete written reports, logs and forms
• Analyze problem situations and make appropriate decisions by following the BCLC and GPEB Policies and Procedures
• Ensure the work area is maintained and kept clean and sanitary at all times
• Update and implement surveillance staff in new BCLC policies and procedures
• Must be able to effectively maintain clear communication when giving directions
• Oversee occurrences as they develop
• Identify, record, document reports of suspicious activities and take the appropriate action required by law and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs

Skills/Requirements:

• Must be 19+
• Supervisor experience in the related field of one (1) or more years an asset
• Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
• Casino Surveillance Operator (CSO) training as required
• Ability to successfully complete and pass all BCLC required courses; Anti Money Laundering (AML), Privacy Awareness and Appropriate Response Training Level 1 and Level 2 (ART), VSE Level 1 and 2
• Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right Certificate (SIR)
• Proficient with Excel spreadsheets
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Use of audio and video equipment to maintain continuous surveillance of all gaming areas of the property
• Serve as a dynamic team leader and ability to multi-task.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and managerial skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and evenings
• Perform any other duties as assigned based on operational needs 

Working Conditions

The day-to-day Gaming Center operations and busy work environment of the gaming floor can be challenging, fun and entertaining atmosphere. A Surveillance Supervisor is expected to oversee all sections of the gaming floor and parking area of the casino. Must be able to withstand changes in temperature, some dust, occasional cleaning with chemicals, noise and constant flashing of lights in the foreground. Sitting for extended periods of time, long periods of time watching monitors and cameras, some lifting up to 45 lbs. Interruptions and some speed is required. Available for days, nights, weekends, and holidays. As the Surveillance Supervisor, you will remain in constant communication with all departments at all times.
