We are looking for a Corporate Recruitment & Retention Manager to join our growing team. 

This role is based out of Calgary corporate office but offers flexibility to work from home. 

As the Corporate Recruitment & Retention Manager, you will be responsible for leading, sourcing and maximizing our internal talent pipeline across various locations. You will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment and retention strategies that allow the Organization to find and keep the best people. The role requires resourcefulness and drive, a natural hunter who finds joy in setting and achieving goals. Passionate about the candidate and employee experience, building talent pipelines, sourcing prospects and moving talent into the right roles. 

Key Focuses

  • Owns the full cycle recruitment process from start to finish, including posting, screening, sourcing, offers and new hire onboarding; recruiting
  • Screens resumes, coordinates interviews and may perform in-person, virtual interviews with candidates. Ensures legal compliance with regard to all recruitment initiatives and provincial employment standards legislation. 
  • Partners with the hiring manager to identify current and future workforce needs, using both short-term and long-range forecasts to build recruitment plans to prepare for future needs
  • Develops strategies to reflect best practices for recruitment that reflect our culture and business needs. Continuously evaluating processes, reporting and utilizing sound metrics to drive improvement, using creative thinking for innovation in recruitment.
  • Builds relationships with General Managers and all Hiring Managers to engage in the hiring process. Working together to create and improve postings that accurately reflect job scope, work perks and business needs.
  • Develop, recommend and implement People & Culture programs and services in the area of recruitment and retention.
  • Provide communication and training to the leadership team related to recruitment and selection and retention programs.
  • Able to identify problems: gather information, develop alternatives, select optimal solutions, implement, measure and evaluate outcomes. 
  • Assigned deliverables are executed in a manner that requires little or no follow-up; both in terms of timeliness, scope and quality.

Experience/Passions/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, in Human Resources Management
  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting
  • Innovative thinker who can implement creative recruitment programs
  • Experience with ATS, Social Media, Linked In and Indeed tools 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Proven experience developing effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
As the Corporate Recruitment & Retention Manager, you will spend the majority of the time working business hours Monday to Friday. However, you may also experience long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturn in business demands or meet deadlines in heavy recruiting seasons. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with candidates, employees, business partners and stakeholders.
