2nd Shift Laundry Supervisor


This position is responsible for supervising 2nd shift operations of the laundry facility and laundry staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all laundry operations, trains and supervises laundry employees.
  • Helps in the laundry process.
  • Maintains machines and laundry area.
  • Maintains cleanliness in the laundry room.
  • Maintain laundry production records.
  • Report and store lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various types of laundry equipment , such as washers, dryers, and folders.
  • Able to operate press and steam tunnel.
  • Experience in using and changing chemical cleaning agents effectively and safely.
  • Knowledge of PPE, MSDS and Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Wear proper protective gear.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Previous laundry experience preferred.
  • Basic ability to comprehend English or Spanish, to be able to communicate and read labels for product safety and emergency instructions.
  • Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents, stain removal, and operation of various types of laundry equipment, such as washers, dryers, and folders. Experience using chemical cleaning agents effectively and safely.

  • Physical demands:  Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time able to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.  Lifting may include linen about 80 lbs.   • Work Environment:  the noise in this work environment is usually moderate.
