  • Act as a brand ambassador for Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge and its connection to Kananaskis Country, delivering exceptional guest experiences through guided hikes and interpretation of the region’s natural beauty, wildlife, and landscapes.
  • Ensure guest safety through strong risk assessment, preparation, effective group leadership, and sound judgment in changing weather and trail conditions.
  • Adapt experiences to varying guest abilities, interests, and fitness levels through clear pre-hike briefings and attentive service, creating memorable and personalized experiences for families, couples, leisure travelers, and corporate groups.
  • Drive lodge vehicles (Class 4 license required) for guest transport to and from trailheads, ensuring daily vehicle checks and prompt reporting of any issues.
  • Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability: Follow all Alberta Parks regulations and lodge safety protocols while promoting Leave No Trace principles and responsible recreation in Kananaskis Country.
  • Support setup, daily operations, and wrap-up of guided hikes, including maintaining outdoor guiding equipment.
  • Collaborate with Adventure & Experience, Front Office, and Leadership teams to support and deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Partner with Sales & Events teams to support private group experiences, corporate programming, and team-building activities.
  • Work with Marketing to support content creation, including photography opportunities, storytelling, and social media moments that showcase the guest experience.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance programming through guest feedback and field insights.
  • Support the Guest Activities and Pool teams with day-to-day operations as needed throughout the season and during quieter operational periods.
