Delta Lodge at Kananaskis is looking for Room Attendants.  A Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that the cleanliness and the quality of the hotel’s guest rooms meet the highest of industry standards, therefore providing our customers with an outstanding product.

Terms of Employment: This is a full time (30 hours per week) position that will be required to work weekends, holidays, days and evenings when business volumes dictate.


THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensuring that the guest rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable; surpassing our strict set of quality standards.
    • Identify and communicate maintenance deficiencies and opportunities to the appropriate department.
    • Room Attendants are expected to look at each room that they service through the eyes of the guest and using attention to detail meet or exceed the required cleanliness standards.
    • All this is achieved with health and safety also being top of mind.
    • Greeting guests with a smile in a warm and courteous manner and consistently providing genuinely hospitable guest service
    • Responding to guest requests promptly
    • Working as a team player
    • Handling of Lost and Found items
    • Must ensure quality and guest satisfaction
    • Rooms are cleaned daily to Delta Standards
    • Clean and disinfect all bathroom fixtures and surfaces
    • Change and make beds
    • Sweep and mop floors and/or vacuum carpet
    • Dust and polish all furniture
    • Empty all refuse containers
    • Spot clean any walls, trim, moldings, door frames as needed
    • Replenish all amenity supplies and linen
    • Check the room for any maintenance deficiencies and report them to
    • Organize and maintain adequate supply of relevant items on the cart and in the stock room
    • Respect the guest’s privacy, security and personal belongings – follow appropriate procedures
    • Respectful, friendly and polite to all guests.


THE KNOWLEDGE:

    • Housekeeping or professional cleaning experience an asset
    • WHMIS Training an asset

Physical requirement:

    • Able to lift 10 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
    • Bend, stand, reach for extended periods of time, throughout the day
    • Push cart weighing 50 lbs several times throughout the day
