Summary

Join the Fort St. John (FSJ) Chances Casino Team.  FSJ is the largest city in the Northeast Region of BC, situated on the Alaska Highway; its population is 21,000.  It offers a great variety of cultural, leisure, and outdoor experiences.

In this role, you will oversee all areas of the Cash Cage and Count Room and assist in the Slot Floor and Bingo areas where needed.  You will be the leader of the day-to-day operations and assume full responsibility for the cash flow.  You will achieve excellence by leading and teaching your team to make business decisions focused on upholding the highest standards in the guest experience while delivering against vital financial goals and performance metrics.  We commit to giving you the training, tools, support and feedback required to be successful; achieving excellence is up to you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Has the technical job skills required to maintain organizational and professional standards in their area
  • Can train their team on all of the technical skills required to be successful in their roles; ensuring their work and the work of their team is of the highest quality to make a great first impression consistently
  • Is present in the department, assessing their team’s performance in real-time against standard operating procedures.  Understands that they are an essential piece in their departments’ success
  • Responsible for supervising cash cage activities and the operation of the cage
  • Create training documents for all cash cage staff and gaming attendants

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Required:                                                                                                                

  • Strong communication skills
  • Minimum three years as a Cage Supervisor or jurisdictional equivalent
  • Proven to be detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, efficient, and diligent in duties and responsibilities
  • Strong ability to follow policies, procedures and practices
  • Must enjoy entertaining and communicating with the public

Experience, Training, Certification, & Education:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Outstanding customer service & interpersonal skills
  • To obtain a Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch (GPEB) license
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends and evenings when needed
