The Role:
The primary responsibility of the Sous Chef is to offer expertise in the area of Culinary & Stewarding as it relates to all areas within the hotel.  This person will provide leadership and management to the culinary and stewarding team members within the property delivering on the service promise and continuity of the culinary team’s activities.  In addition, the Sous Chef will work in fostering and developing new partnerships and relationships with suppliers and the community in order to create efficiencies in relation to value and service. 
Job Duties:
Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef the primary responsibilities are:

Motivate employees to provide excellence in service, developing strong channels of communication and fostering team spirit.
Training of individuals on job duties and sanitation and safety procedures
Instruct and Supervise cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
Prepare and cook complete meals, banquets or specialty foods, such as pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes, and create decorative food displays.
Lead the implementation of new menus as well as the production and standardization of those menus.
Create new recipes.
Prepare and cook food ensuring highest quality standards have been met, maintaining a safe and organized work area.
Estimate food requirement and may estimate food and labor costs.
Assist with recruitment of culinary team members.
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs when necessary.
Ability to manage and complete all administration shift duties and reports.
Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen and follow the rules of health and safety.
Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
Attend training courses and seminars as and when required.
Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are always of the highest quality.
Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitization.  May requisition food and kitchen supplies
Flexible shifts hours will be required.
Ensures the safe operation of kitchen equipment by inspecting for, reporting and correcting safety hazards.
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

2-5 years’ experience in a similar position within a resort setting
Minimum 5 years of cooking experience
Proven leadership skills with the ability to “coach” a team
Average 10 hours a day
Cook’s trade certification, which is available in all provinces and territories, or equivalent credentials, training and experience required
Completion of Secondary school required
Team player and strong hands on individual
Former education in Food and Beverage or Hospitality Management an asset
Understand the basic structure of labor and cost controls and be able to adhere to those plans.

The Role:
As the Assistant Guest Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Bell operations. Job Duties:

Ensure staff is trained on systems and service standards and they have the tools and equipment needed to provided guest excellence.
Responsible for ensuring that guest inquiries are addressed in a timely manner, upon arrival, as well as throughout their stay and upon departure
Ensure the Bell Team is greeting guests upon arrival
Create an atmosphere of contagious learning and job fulfillment in support of our employee engagement goals
We expect our leaders to lead from the front and help enhance the guest experience by providing exceptional service, actively seeking feedback from guests and employees alike.
Follow up and take action to improve guest satisfaction scores and develop and implement plans to achieve established departmental goals.
Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all resort vehicles, ensuring any safety or maintenance concerns are reported immediately.
Working on the floor during peak coverage times (avg. 80% of time spent on floor)
Knowledge of the hotel property, it’s amenities, transportation, shuttles and any activities in and around the hotel
Achieve department revenue goals, including inventory and labor costs
Review and Respond to Guest Satisfaction Surveys and follow up on areas of improvement
Provide VIP arrival support, manage communication to ensure exceptional guest experience
Communicate through pre-shift pass-ons, emails and departmental meeting any information that is pertinent for the respective shift and hotel operations
Work closely with the Front Office for arrivals, departures and management of the lobby
Creates and amends schedule for Guest Services department
Scheduling of shuttles for guests and staff
Driving our parking and shuttle revenue goals
Performance management & bi-annual reviews for all team members
Other responsibilities or duties as assigned
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

Minimum 1 year leadership experience in the Front Office or Guest Services
Must be in possession of an Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. A Class 4 and class 5 driver’s license is required, in order to be able to assist with Resort Shuttle operations.
Must be able to drive manual and be able to drive a standard vehicle is an asset.
Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Hospitality Management or related discipline is preferred

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Manager of Safety and Security, the Safety & Security Guard’s role is to assist the resort in maintaining the security and safety of all facilities, 1,000+ guests and 300+ employees in three properties, three residence complexes, and one leased public building. The Safety & Security Guard role will include, property foot patrols, vehicle patrols, compiling daily shift reports, acting as a designated first aid provider, and enforcing hotel and residence rules and regulations.
Although safety is always the number one priority, this role acts as an ambassador to our guests regarding all aspects of customer service. Conveying a friendly, positive demeanor at all times is essential for this role.
As a safety and security guard, you will also act as first responder on site to any & all emergencies, working in coordination with other departments and outside agencies to resolve threats to the safety of guests, staff, and visitors within Kananaskis Village. You will also be required to participate in fire training sessions and Health and safety meetings.
Job Duties:

Conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols 
Providing first aid to guests and staff
Acting as a member of the fire response team
Participating in Health and Safety meetings
Conducting monthly audits for first aid kits, eye wash stations and fire extinguishers
Completing incident, first aid and daily hotel and residence reports
Interacting on a daily basis with guests and staff
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:
You will be considered for this role if you have all of the following experience: 

Must be licensed in Alberta with the Solicitor General as a Security professional
Must have a Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
Must have a valid Standard (Intermediate) first aid with level C CPR certificate from an accredited Canadian agency (St. John Ambulance or Red Cross). Priority will be given to candidates who hold a higher level of training from a Canada accredited program such as Advanced First Aid or EMR
High school diploma. Post secondary education is desirable
2 – 3 years prior security experience, ideally in a public setting
Must be computer literate, preference given to individuals with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
Ability to walk for long periods, sometimes in very cold or very hot weatherThe below soft skills will be an asset for the role:
Prior experience with conflict resolution
Ability to stay calm under pressure or in high pressure situations
Exceptional interviewing techniques, note taking, and report writing
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

The Role:
As a Room Attendant, you are expected to look at each room that you service through the eyes of the guest and using attention to detail meet or exceed the required cleanliness standards. All this is achieved with health and safety also being top of mind.  The positions are full-time 30-40 hours per week.  The position may work night shifts as a public area cleaning attendant, which includes a shift premium.
Job duties:

Ensure that the guest rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable; surpassing our strict set of quality standards.
Identify and communicate maintenance deficiencies and opportunities to the appropriate department.
Greet guests with a smile in a warm and courteous manner and consistently providing genuinely hospitable guest service
Respond to guest requests promptly
Work as a team player
Handle Lost and Found items
Ensure quality and guest satisfaction
Clean and disinfect all bathroom fixtures and surfaces
Change and make beds
Sweep and mop floors and/or vacuum carpet
Dust and polish all furniture
Empty all refuse containers
Spot clean any walls, trim, moldings, door frames as needed
Replenish all amenity supplies and linen
Organize and maintain adequate supply of relevant items on the cart and in the stock room
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

Housekeeping or professional cleaning experience an asset
WHMIS Training an asset
Physical requirement:
Able to lift 10 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
Bend, stand, reach for extended periods of time, throughout the day
Push cart weighing 50 lbs several times throughout the day

The Role:
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be a part of the team that takes the guest experience within our guest rooms to a new level. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the main responsibilities within this role are to provide leadership, motivation, direction and support to all Housekeeping employees.  Being aware and focused on the goals of the department through the quality of room cleanliness, hallway presentation, productivity, and guest service interactions at all times is key to the success of the incumbent within the role.  You are driven by results, as well as being proactive with employee relations and cross departmental communication. You will be held accountable for the safety and security of all associates and their work areas. 
Job duties:

Provides leadership, motivation, direction, and support to Room Attendants with a focus on Rooms quality and internal and external guest service.
Ensure that the guest rooms, hallways are properly cleaned and maintained, exceeding our guests’ expectations, while adhering to hotel standards and operating in a cost-effective manner
A promoter of teamwork inter-departmentally to ensure on-going positive relations always striving toward smooth and successful operations.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments
Handle all guest communication, lost and found, problems and feedback that involves the department and follow up where necessary
Provide effective training, follow-up, support and coaching for all staff under their supervision
Accountable for the safety of all associates work areas continually keeping safety top of mind.
Responsible for managing performance of associates, involved in performance reviews and progressive action where appropriate.
Ensure commitment are maintained with active participation and lead by example
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

A degree or diploma in Hotel Management an asset.
A minimum 2 years' experience with supervising, coaching and motivating employees
A minimum 1 years’ experience in housekeeping
Detail oriented
Must be a strong team player, energetic and highly motivated
Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills and communication skills.
Driven, positive individual who will be committed to the achievement of the PKML Vision and Mission statement.
Computer literate with proficiency in word, excel, MSI and Opera a definite asset.

Have a valid ProServe certification.
Experience working in a variety of restaurant settings.
Have a strong understanding of current food and beverage trends.
Completion of a business or hospitality degree is preferred.
