The Gaming Attendant participates in duties within all areas of the Cash Cage, Gaming Floor, Count Room and all areas of the Bingo and Table Games departments. They are to follow all of the roles and duties for each job position and comply with all BCLC and GPEB policies and procedures for the gaming centre. They will be responsible for accurately entering data into the BCLC system, iTrak and the Bingo Kodiak system, and any daily casino activities. Such as collecting patron information accurately, securely, and efficiently following established policies and procedures. To work as a team member and assist where needed within all departments and areas of the Cash Cage, Count Room, Bingo, and the Gaming Floor.

Job Duties:  Gaming Attendant:

  • Act as a front-line customer service representative while creating a professional, positive gaming experience for all of our guests.
  • Assist with guests’ inquiries relating to slot game themes, bingo games conditions, and casino promotions.
  • Competent in dealing blackjack.
  • Manage an accurate cash float, assist a customer with cash payouts, redemptions of lottery or slot tickets
  • Verify and process slot machine fills, customer jackpots, lottery sales and payouts.
  • Assist with bingo sales, merchandise and payouts.
  • Maintain required documents as required by BCLC, GPEB and internal standards.
  • Assist in daily collection of money on the Gaming Floor and prepare deposits in the Count Room.
  • Announcing game rules, regulations and player payouts for Bingo.
  • Accurately perform foreign currency exchanges at the Casino’s designated exchange rate.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

  • Must be 19+
  • Strong math skills
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Proven to be detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, efficient, and diligent in duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be self-motivated, be able to multi-task, great attention to detail and be well organized
  • Outstanding customer service skills, including demonstrated ability to be friendly, efficient, polite, and patient
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent English
  • Proficient in Microsoft word and excel
