We are looking for a Regional Housekeeping Manager to join our growing organization.

This role is based out of the Pomeroy Hotel Fort St. John and offers and offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.

As the Regional Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing our clean team for our portfolio of hotels in Fort St John. In this role, you are authorized to exceed guest expectations by leading your people to create “picture perfect” guest experiences throughout the hotels each and every shift. From the hotel lobby right through to the guest room itself, the Guests’ first impression around cleanliness is a powerful and lasting one.

Skills/Abilities Include:

  • Attention to detail is a skill that you must bring out in your team; accuracy is essential in supporting excellent guest service, proper execution of cleaning processes and procedures, reporting maintenance deficiencies, effective communication between shifts and protecting company assets.
  • Recruitment champion for the region. Attracting the right clean team talent and personally guiding each new hire through orientation and delivering the technical training required to be successful.
  • Supports the training process with feedback, one-on-one coaching and performance reviews.
  • Manages and monitor the activities of the Housekeeping, Laundry and Janitorial departments and of their people by making sure they adhere to all standard operating procedures and understand the hotel processes and policies.
  • Inspect what you expect by understanding that cleanliness is one of the most important criteria in the hotel from the guest perspective. Using the inspection template, inspect clean rooms and share results with your people to be used as a training and development tool.
  • Schedules the Housekeeping, Laundry and Janitorial teams so that monthly labour costs fall within budgeted guidelines so that peak hotel demand periods are fully staffed and so that each member of the team can balance work with their obligations in life.

Education & Experience required to be successful

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Housekeeping Manager
  • Other hotel leadership positions considered an asset

Working Conditions

This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturn in business demands. Some days will be spent in rooms with others managing the region or a combination of both. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently, think creatively and effectively prioritize tasks.
