Located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is a world class mountain resort property featuring 408 guest rooms, 5 unique Food & Beverage outlets, conference facilities, Alberta’s first Nordic spa and staff accommodations. All surrounded by untouched beauty and rugged mountain peaks in the Canadian Rockies and conveniently located one hour west of Calgary and forty five minutes south of Banff and Canmore.

We are looking for a Sales and Events Manager

We are looking for an excellent team player with a keen interest in the world of hotel sales and events.  Knowledge of hotel operations would be a great asset to the success of this individual.  You have the ability to manage yourself to achieve your goals and targets, while collaborating with the rest of team to further the overall goals of the business.

As the Sales & Events Manager at the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, you will be the key contact for any clients wanting to book short term meetings within 45 days or less with 50 rooms or less on the peak night.  You will be responsible for responding to any inquiries within 2 hours of receipt or request and taking the booking through to its completion: including all catering details, setting up room blocks, establishing a form of payment.  Timely and thorough follow up with the client upon completion of the event must occur, to ensure loyalty and to check for future business with the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge.

In order to be considered for this role, your ideal previous work experience includes hotel sales and event experience with banquet service preferred. Our top candidate will be able to perform in a high functioning team, have the ability to multi-task, be self-motivated and self-managed, with guest experience and achieving results being at the forefront of everything they do.
