The Role

The outdoor maintenance employees are the keepers of the outdoor spaces impacting the guest arrival experience.  They are responsible for all the landscaping needs, snow removal, keeping areas clear and safe for guests to enjoy the outdoors of the property in accordance with Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge’s standards for quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction, all while acknowledging guests with a smile and an “I can make it happen attitude”.

As an outdoor maintenance member and hotel handyman, the right candidate needs to have expertise in multiple types of equipment operations, snow removal, lawn care and related functions, as well as the ability to do general maintenance on areas that require painting, drywall and minor repairs.  You must have basic construction skills, be organized, and effectively communicate with others with a positive attitude.  We are looking for craftsmen (and women!) to join our team in maintaining our beautiful property.

You will be considered for this role if you have the following experience:  snow removal, lawn care and machine operations, drywall, painting and upkeep projects, plumbing and sprinkler repairs, good mechanical knowledge of outdoor equipment: snow plow operations, frontend loader, and minor knowledge of hydraulics systems. Small engine operations and maintenance is a plus. You must have a valid driver’s license, and be able to work afternoons and nights, be comfortable working in extreme weather conditions, and be able to lift 50lb sand bags.

Rate of Pay:  $17 - $18/hour
