We are looking for an experienced cook to join our fast paced kitchen team.
The job duties are as follows:
Prepare, plan and cook complete meals, such as sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes, and ensure meal presentation is to the highest quality
Uphold cleaning standards
Demonstrate cooking techniques and general cooking skills
Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Successful candidates must have the following credentials:
Minimum 1 years’ experience as a line cook
Post-secondary education in the field is not required but is an asset
Be able to communicate in English
Flexible hours between day & night shifts
Have an inner sense of urgency
Have a willingness to learn
Proper use of kitchen tools and equipment and closing procedures
