Part Time Laundry Attendant

Job Description: As a Laundry Attendant you are authorized to exceed guest expectations by delivering “picture perfect” guest linens each and every shift. The Guests’ first impression about the cleanliness and comfort of a hotel is often tied to the cleanliness, condition and softness of the bath and bed linen.

Some of the duties of a Laundry Attendant are:

• Owning the guest experience by cleaning and presenting hotel linens at its very best. 
• Preparing for your shift starts with a well-organized and stocked laundry room; complete with agreed par stocks of cleaning and laundry chemicals, tidy storage, dust free surfaces, sparkling floors and no linen on the floor ever.
• Respect for guest property and privacy should always be exercised; strict adherence to lost and found procedures on all items found in guest rooms and public areas. Guest articles should never be removed from the hotel.
• Efficiency and timing is crucial to the work flow; keeping machines fully loaded and running is key.
• Guarding our guests and your own personal safety and security is paramount; you must know and practice all emergency procedures for the hotel and policies that protect the privacy and security of our guests and yourself.

Working Conditions: The Housekeeping & Laundry department is typically the largest department in the hotel, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Laundry Attendants may experience:

• Long periods of standing and bending
• Continuous physical movement
• Lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Periods of working alone

Skills/Experience/Education:

• Previous experience in hotels is an asset
• Desire to work as a team player and establish a connection with peers and management to cultivate a positive atmosphere.
• Attention to detail and pride in a quality job done well
• Proficient in English
