The Role:

As an Executive Chef, you lead the culinary and stewarding team to deliver excellent dining experiences in our restaurants, banquet spaces and employee cafeteria. Leading a team of 80+ individual foster a culture of positivity and teamwork. This position reports to the Director of Food & Beverage and works closely with the front-of-house leadership team in restaurants and catering to ensure seamless experiences. You will continuously be developing interesting and exciting menus for our guests to enjoy that help drive revenue and profitability for the Food & Beverage Division.

Job duties:

  • Accountable for the overall success of kitchen operations as measured by key business indicators
  • Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food-related functions
  • Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of responsibility
  • Supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a high-quality product is produced
  • Responsible for guiding and developing all team members
  • Must ensure sanitation and food standard guidelines are achieved and exceeded
  • Areas of responsibility include all food preparation areas (Restaurants, Banquets, Cafeteria) and all support areas (Stewarding, night cleaning)

Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Dynamic, enthusiastic individual who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions.
  • Skilled leader who understands how to motivate and drive positive team culture.
  • Passionate about delivering great food-related experiences.
  • Must be highly Health and Safety conscious and dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Well-rounded, demonstrated ability in different types of establishments.
  • Self-starter – always pushing to make the business better.
  • Red Seal Diploma or similar diploma; 10 year's experience in the culinary in hotel environment.
