Summary

Join the Terrace Chances Casino team.  Terrace is culturally rich, an outdoor paradise, featuring world-class skiing, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking. With an area population of 20,000, Terrace is the largest population west of Prince George, and serves as a hub community for the northwest.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest service following Chances Casino Terrace, BCLC, and GPEB policies and procedures
  • Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and be able to respond to guest inquiries
  • Write reports, maintain daily reporting requirements, and conduct investigations
  • Provide First Aid and medical attention as required
  • Provide physical security, crowd control and control of incidents in and around the business
  • Assess situations, sensitive in dealing with people and be proactive in providing solutions

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Required:

  • Previous experience in a security role is an asset
  • Written and verbal communication and analytical skills
  • Sensitive and able to provide solutions when dealing with people who require assistance or direction

Experience, Training, Certification and Education:

  • Gaming Security Officer (GSO) Training Completion Certification (online course/written exam)
  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • First Aid Level 1. Level two is an asset but not required
  • 1-2 years of demonstrated security/surveillance experience; gaming experience is an asset
