As the Recruitment & Retention Manager, you will be responsible for leading, sourcing, and maximizing our talent pipeline. You will be responsible for the full-cycle talent acquisition and retention strategies that allow the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge to find and keep the best people. The role requires resourcefulness and drive; the ideal candidate would be a natural relationship builder who finds joy in setting and achieving goals. Passionate about the candidate and employee experience, building talent pipelines, sourcing prospects and moving talent into the right roles.

Key Focuses:

  • Owns the full cycle recruitment process in a high volume environment from start to finish, including posting, screening, sourcing, offers and new hire onboarding; recruiting from all ranges in the labour pool; drom front line to leadership
  • Screens resumes, coordinates interviews and may perform in-person, virtual interviews with candidates; ensures legal compliance with regard to all recruitment initiatives and provincial employment standards legislation
  • Partners with hiring managers to identify current and future workforce needs, using both short-term and long-range forecasts to build recruitment plans to prepare for future needs
  • Develops strategies to reflect best practices for recruitment that reflect our culture and business needs; continuously evaluates processes, reports and utilizes sound metrics to drive improvement, using creative thinking for innovation in talent aquisition
  • Develops a robust candidate pipeline through offline sourcing methods including social media, professional and hospitality industry networking
  • Builds constructive working relationships and partnerships with vocational institutions, industry partners, hiring managers and all other stakeholders to engage them in the hiring process
  • Develops, recommends and implements programs and services in the area of recruitment and retention; supports the development and refinement of the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge employer brand
  • Provides communication and training to the leadership team related to talent requisition and retention programs
  • Identifies problems: gathers information, develops alternatives, selects optimal solutions, measures and evaluates outcomes
  • Executes assigned deliverables in a manner that requires little or no follow-up; both in terms of timeliness, scope and quality; reports on outcomes with proper metrics and KPI's
  • Personal communication, interactions and behaviours support all five of the organization's core values; ability to mentor and train the team

Experience / Passions / Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting
  • Ability to think inependently and implement new infrastructure for creative recruitment programs
  • Experience with ATS, Social Media, Linked In and Indeed tools 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Proven experience developing effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

As the Recruitment & Retention Manager, you will spend the majority of the time working business hours Monday to Friday. However, you may also  experience long days and / or weekends to meet periodic upturn in business demands or meet deadlines in heavy recruiting seasons. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with candidates, employees, business partners and stakeholders.
