We are looking for a Pastry Chef

The Pastry Chef will help lead the day-to-day operation of the pastry department a team that consist of 5 to 7 pastry cooks. The responsibilities would include:  baking pastries according to standards, making desserts for restaurants, café and banquet functions, make chocolate truffles, chocolate showpieces and sugar work and wedding cakes is an asset, while safely and appropriately using baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods. Following and ensuring compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures will be adhered to, along with checking and ensuring correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.

In order to be successfully be considered for this role you will have 5 or more years of related pastry/baking experience, the ability to demonstrate leadership and a positive demeanor, completion of high school, and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training.
