We are looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our busy hotel!

This administrative role will support the day-to-day administration for our sales and catering team. Your role as the administrator is critical to delivering a quality guest experience. You will be responsible for the accurate collection, communication and use of data and information. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail and logistics, and an understanding of financial metrics. We commit to giving you the training, tools, support and feedback required to be successful; achieving excellence is up to you.

Key Focuses

  • Prepares agreed-upon reports such as daily sales & time sheets and other financial reports
  • Compiling results into meaningful reports and spreadsheets
  • Manages the daily, weekly and monthly payroll and benefits functions. Ensuring accuracy in our people’s data so it is accurate and error-free
  • Reconciliation duties, reporting and monthly accruals including invoicing and accounts payable duties
  • Assists Director of Sales with sales and revenue initiatives
  • Assists Director of Sales with booking events by following up on booking requests
  • Assists in the preparation of in-house sales promotions, receptions and client functions
  • Follows up on bookings and obtains additional information to complete the sales files
  • Files a variety of materials and updates the sales systems
  • Ensures a properly organized work environment
  • Assists in the handling of telephone and walk-in inquiries
  • Able to identify problems: gather information, develop alternatives, select optimal solutions, implement, measure and evaluate outcomes
  • Assigned deliverables are executed in a manner that requires little or no follow-up; both in terms of timeliness, scope and quality
  • Personal communication, interactions and behaviours support all five of the organization's core values                                            

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
The Sales Coordinator will spend the majority of their time working in an office setting, Monday to Friday. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, working with a variety of technology applications and high levels of interaction with employees and other stakeholders

Experience/Passions/Education
Proven success in an administrative role is an advantage
Excellent guest service, communication and organizational skills
Proven financial acumen to enter and interpret data
Previous reservation software and POS experience preferred
Passion for Guest Services
