Achieving Excellence
As the Aquatic Facility Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of all facilities and equipment within the spa environment. Your primary focus will be on managing the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems to uphold the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics. You will achieve excellence by leading and teaching your people to make business decisions that are focused on upholding the highest standards in guest service while delivering against key financial goals and performance metrics. Qualifications
Facility Management
Leads the management of spa buildings, including all equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems.
Maintains open and transparent communication with General Manager, KNS Management, and PKML Management regarding facility maintenance, closures, contractor services, preventative maintenance plans, and any other relevant updates.
Provides support and coverage for front-line absences and supports the Engineering Team in the absence of the Chief Engineer.
Team Leadership
Directs and supervises the Pool Operator/Facility Maintenance Team, ensuring that team members carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks effectively.
Plays a key role in recruiting, selecting, training, and managing Pool Operation/Facility Maintenance staff members.
Manages performance, performance reviews, scheduling, payroll, and purchase orders.
Preventative Maintenance
Develops and implements a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to proactively address issues and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Regularly updates and maintains documented records of all equipment, including monitoring and tendering of service contracts.
Identifies organizational objectives and prioritizes initiatives to improve pool operation and maintenance processes through ongoing evaluation and problem-solving.
Safety
Champions safety at all times by engaging with highly qualified and quality-oriented suppliers and adhering to established safety protocols.

Education & Experience
A minimum of 3+ years in a leadership role within the Aquatic Facility Management field
Experience in preventative maintenance, energy management, fire safety, and health and safety
Must reside on-site for this position.
Proficient in Windows, PMS, and MS Office applications
Post-secondary education in a related field is a definite asset:
Pool Operations Certification
Building Operators Certification
Building Maintenance - Level 1 and 2
Confined Space Certificate
4th – 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate.
Working Conditions
This role requires flexible working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Availability for on-call duty is essential. The position involves prolonged periods of standing or sitting, frequent use of communication methods (phone, email, in-person), and manual dexterity for operating tools and computers. Tasks may include bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and exposure to chemicals and noisy environments. Outdoor work in all weather conditions and physically strenuous activities are also part of the job requirements.
