Summary

In this role, you will provide leadership and guidance to the restaurant team under the supervision of the Director of Food & Beverage, creating inspired and memorable experiences for our guests.  You will execute breakfast, lunch, and dinner services that match the brand experience, ensuring quality, delivering every time and making decisions focused on upholding the highest standards in guest services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and inspire the restaurant team with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Schedule labour as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed as needed, and labour cost objectives are met
  • Provide advice and suggestions to the management team as needed

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Required:

  • A good command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Have knowledge of service and food & beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations
  • A commitment to high standards of quality service
  • A willingness to learn on the job and develop new skills

Experience, Training, Certification and Education:

  • One year of supervisory experience and a similar role is an asset
  • To obtain a Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch (GPEB) license
  • Teamwork approach and a helpful attitude with co-workers
  • BC Food Safe certification is an asset
  • Computer/Microsoft Office knowledge
