We are looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to join our growing organization.

This role is based out of our downtown Calgary office and features an excellent compensation and benefits package.

Pomeroy Lodging is currently seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to oversee various marketing and digital efforts for its portfolio of resorts, spas, hotels, and destination marketing operations. This position is in our corporate office in Calgary. Key responsibilities include the execution, management, and development of marketing and digital strategies for the Pomeroy Lodging portfolio, oversight of digital creative development, campaign results analysis and reporting, and aligning all messaging and digital efforts with the portfolio’s strategy to drive revenue. The ideal candidate will be able to identify key digital target markets, execute effective digital marketing campaigns, and grow the brand’s position within the digital space and beyond.

  • Tracks and maintains a positive return on investment for all digital marketing efforts, reach goals set by corporate teams, and seeks to find new audiences for all brands’ continued growth and success.
  • Collaborates with external agency partners to ensure digital marketing campaigns are set up properly and optimized for audience targeting and performance. Owns the end-to-end campaign process from strategy with business partners to execution with agency partners and results analysis.
  • Understands and manages paid media through Meta/Facebook, including prospecting and remarketing, and analyzes and reports campaign results.
  • Understands and uses internal booking and sales data to create look-alike audiences to reach new customers and target digital media efforts.
  • Maintains email and database knowledge, including developing automated/triggered, drip, and transactional campaigns. Responsible for overall campaign build and design, deploying, reviewing, and reporting results to drive ongoing strategy.
  • Assists in developing a corporate reporting dashboard and outlines key performance indicators for consistency across the portfolio, including performance measurement for each campaign, digital tactic performance, and strategic recommendations.
  • Understands and strategically uses website analytics and CRM platforms to make decisions, recommendations, and hypotheses about customer behaviours.
  • Manages accounting and billing for all digital media buys and acts as accounting’s point of contact as needed.

 Education & Experience required to be successful

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role at agencies or marketing organizations.
  • Post-secondary education focused on Marketing, Business Management, eCommerce, or equivalent experience.
  • Understands paid search, programmatic display, video, paid social, marketing analytics, consumer insights, and more.
  • Understands digital and paid media measurement, attribution, conversion tracking, funnel and lifecycle modeling, and the ability to communicate that knowledge to internal and external teams.
  • Experience working with paid media strategy and planning, web analytics, and CRM platforms, as well as experience and understanding of SEO.
  • Experience with GA4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, DV360, SA360, FB Business & Ads Manager, Google Search Console.
  • Understands SEO, competitive analysis, keyword research, and online content optimization.
  • Strong analytical and advanced Excel and Smartsheet skills.

Working Conditions

Due to the 365-day, a year operation of the Pomeroy Lodging portfolio, the Senior Digital Marketing Manager may be exposed to long shifts that, at times, include late hours, weekends, and holidays. This position is set in a fast-paced environment with high interaction levels with multiple platforms, software applications, outside partners, employees, and other stakeholders. The Senior Digital Marketing Manager will spend much time multitasking, competing priorities, and solving problems.
