Position Overview:

As the Revenue Manager for our Nordic Spa Vertical, you are stepping into the pioneering role of sculpting a revenue management program tailored to our distinctive Nordic Spa business model. While integrating traditional hotel revenue management practices, you will also be at the forefront of crafting novel strategies that resonate with our Nordic spa's ethos and clientele. With two Nordic Spas already in operation, Kananaskis Nordic Spa and Alyeska Nordic Spa, we are poised for growth. 

A significant aspect of your role will be the design and deployment of new analytical tools and spearheading the development of a sophisticated data warehouse and proprietary reporting platform. We seek a visionary who can weave data-driven insights into actionable strategies, ensuring that Pomeroy Lodging remains a beacon of innovation in the hospitality and wellness industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and drive the revenue management and pricing strategy for Nordic spa services and packages.
  • Analyze market trends, demand factors, and competitor pricing to identify revenue opportunities and challenges specific to Nordic spas.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop strategies that maximize revenue while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Continuously review and adjust pricing, forecasting, and inventory strategies to respond to changing market conditions.
  • Coordinate with spa operation teams to ensure alignment of revenue strategy with guest experience and service offerings.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and technology to drive decision-making and to predict future demand patterns.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to develop revenue management systems and tools that are effectively integrated with other key systems.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the effectiveness of promotions and special packages.
  • Guide and supervise the spa operations team in the integrity of proper aggregated data collection.
  • Prepare regular revenue and forecast reports, presenting findings and strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Conduct weekly revenue calls to review the current state of the business as well as ongoing and future strategies.
  • Optimizing spa segmentation mix through data analysis and yield management.
  • When applicable, collaborate with resort revenue management teams on projects, packages, and mutually beneficial strategies.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Revenue Management leadership team to enforce the high standard of Pomeroy Lodging's revenue optimization culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 2 years experience in revenue management in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and property leaders.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to present confidently.
  • Highly computer literate with an advanced command of Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hospitality sales, distribution, and strategies.
  • Essential statistical and analytical skills to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls.

 Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Power BI or other database software is an asset.
  • Hotel and/or Spa operations experience is a significant plus.
  • Experience with Milano Klickbook Spa PMS is desirable.

Working Conditions:

This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This detail-oriented and analytical position is set in a fast-paced environment with high levels of interaction with employees and other stakeholders. 

This position is based with a minimum of 3 days on-site at the Pomeroy Lodging Office in downtown Calgary. On-site travel is required, including in the United States.
