Summary

In this role, you will guide the security team under the security manager's direction, ensuring the security of casino assets, casino facilities, employees, and guests.  In compliance with local, provincial, and federal laws, security supervisors ensure all members of the Security Team maintain good relations with patrons diplomatically and professionally.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest service following Chances Casino Fort St John, British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), and regulatory, Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch (GPEB) policies and procedures
  • Provide physical security, crowd control and control of incidents in and around the business
  • Lead a Team to achieve excellent customer service
  • Supervise and manage the teams’ performance in security activities
  • Assess situations, sensitive in dealing with people and be proactive in providing solutions

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Required:

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Reasoning abilities; analytical and critical thinker

Experience, Training, Certification and Education:

  • Gaming Security Officer (GSO) Training Completion Certification (online course/written exam)
  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • First Aid Level 1. Level two is an asset but not required
  • 1-2 years of demonstrated security/surveillance experience; gaming experience is an asset
  • Education in the study of law enforcement is an asset
